> “Some women fear the fire. Some women simply become it.” — R.H. Sin Let's Begin With a Confession: I wasn’t always loud. I was that girl who used to raise her hand halfway and drop it. Who said “sorry” even when someone stepped on her foot. Who smiled through discomfort and laughed at unfunny jokes just to “not seem rude.” Who texted “it’s fine :)” when it very much was NOT. FINE. :) You ever feel that? That weird pressure to be soft, sweet, calm, chill, pretty — but not too much? Smile — but not too big. Talk — but not too loud. Exist — but not too boldly. So here’s me reclaiming that: I am not difficult. I’m detailed. And so are you. Stop Telling Me to Calm Down I’m not going to calm down. I’m going to speak. Loudly. Emotionally. Honestly.
